The Word Bible College and Theological Seminary was founded with the mission of providing a comprehensive education rooted in Biblical principles, equipping individuals to serve as balanced ministers of the Gospel.
Combining rigorous academic study with practical fieldwork, the college aims to produce seasoned ministers capable of addressing the spiritual needs of contemporary society in the 21st century and beyond.
Established to fulfill a divine vision bestowed upon Pastor J.B. Kumoluyi, the college stands as a testament to his commitment to training men and women for the ongoing ministry of the Gospel.

HISTORY OF WOBICOTS
The origins of The Word Bible College and Theological Seminary are intertwined with the vision of Pastor J.B. Kumoluyi, the President and Founder of The Word Bible Church (Palace of Healing). In January 1996, Pastor Kumoluyi shared his vision with his esteemed colleague, the late Rev. V.A. Lawani, about establishing a training institution to further the divine mandate entrusted to him.
Following prayerful consideration, Pastor Kumoluyi and Rev. Lawani embarked on a journey of faith, inspecting a parcel of land purchased for the purpose in Igbara-Odo, Ekiti State, in May of the same year. Subsequently, The Word Bible College and Theological Seminary commenced its operations at No. 1, Ganiyu Muraina Close, Ajelogo Mile 12, Ketu, Lagos, Nigeria, which served as its main campus.
The name "WOBICOTS" was prayerfully coined as an acronym derived from "Theological Seminary," symbolizing the extension of theological education. This name reflects the institution's commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth.
The recognition of The Word Bible College and Theological Seminary on an international scale was solidified when it became affiliated with North Carolina Theological University, USA, on August 18, 2022, under the leadership of Dr. Tony Horne, the university's President.
Since its inception, the college has witnessed the graduation of numerous students who have gone on to make significant contributions to the spread of the Gospel worldwide. In December 2023, The Word Bible College and Theological Seminary celebrated its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of dedication to the training and equipping of ministers for service in God's kingdom.

THE GOVERNING COUNCIL
The Governing Council of The Word Bible College and Theological Seminary is composed of the following members:

The Registrar
Other members approved by the school authority, who are Spirit-filled and entrusted to oversee the affairs of the college.
The primary responsibilities of the Governing Council include the formulation of college policies and the recruitment of qualified personnel, guided by the Holy Spirit.
